Who's behind RVmapper?
A small crew of RVers operating out of Connecticode LLC. We aren't professional travel writers — we're people who spend real time behind the wheel, have burned through enough memberships to know which ones pay for themselves, and have driven rigs from 19-foot Class B vans to 40-foot diesel pushers. Every article is published under a single byline: the RVmapper Editorial Team. That's intentional — it's the whole crew, not a pretend individual.
Where does the campground and route intel come from?
Campground operator websites and reservation systems, the National Park Service, state and regional park agencies, the iOverlander and Campendium databases, and membership program documentation (Thousand Trails, Passport America, Harvest Hosts, Good Sam, KOA). Where we've actually stayed somewhere, the personal take gets added. Campgrounds close, go seasonal, or change hands constantly — when we hear about it, the article gets updated.
Do campgrounds pay to be featured?
No. Recommendations are based on the quality of the stop and how well it fits your trip, not on a business relationship. Where we use affiliate links, it's disclosed inline and covered on our affiliate disclosure page. Pro subscribers see no ads; free-tier users see display ads, which are separate from editorial coverage.
What do you do with my trip data?
What you enter into the planner (origin, destination, rig details, memberships, preferences) generates your itinerary and nothing else. We don't publish user trips, sell trip data, or share it beyond what's needed to generate your plan. See the privacy policy for the full accounting.
What if a guide is wrong?
Email hello@rvmapper.com with what you found — a closed park, an outdated membership perk, a route that no longer makes sense — and we'll fix the article. The RV world moves fast and we rely on corrections from folks actually on the road.
Got a correction, a route suggestion, or a campground that's worth a feature? Drop us a note: hello@rvmapper.com. Prefer the formal route? Use the contact page or submit on our feature board.
