<h2>Overview</h2> <p>Sam Brown Horse Campground is the only horse camp on the Wild Rivers Ranger District! Located in the midst of the area's amazing biodiversity, it's a great place to wander and take in the sights and sounds of the Illinois Valley. </p><h2>Recreation</h2> <p>Recreation opportunities include horseback riding, hiking, wildlife viewing and splashing in the creek.</p><h2>Facilities</h2> <ul><li><p>7 campsites with picnic tables, and fire pits</p></li><li><p>No water available.  Please bring your own water.</p></li><li><p>Vault toilet</p></li><li><p>No garbage disposal - Please pack it out</p></li></ul><h2>Natural Features</h2> <p>The landscape surrounding the Sam Brown Horse Campground is defined by rugged beauty, sprawling meadows, historic mining sites and winding creeks.
